What Does it Mean to Have a Sponsor? (Podcast)

What does it mean to have a sponsor? How is a mentor different? And how can this propel women in technology so they can lead and thrive as women of influence?
I made a recent visit to Simon Fraser University in British Columbia to fill the final spot in the 2017 President’s Dream Colloquium speaker series. While I was there, I sat down with Daniele Livengood to record a podcast for the Westcoast Women in Engineering, Science and Technology (WWEST). We chatted about sponsorship versus mentorship (and cats versus dogs!)
Livengood, who manages WWEST, wrote “This President’s Dream Colloquium minisode is chock full of advice and inspiration for any woman who is striving to be more of a leader in her field.”
